On Sunday 5th February, the LDWA.org.uk website was temporarily closed as a precautionary measure following a ‘cyber-attack’. The attack occurred shortly after 4pm.

The website was taken offline around 6.30pm. This allowed our volunteers and the team at e-Tempa, our IT specialists, to thoroughly investigate the attack.

The vulnerability was quickly identified and fixed.

As a security measure, we kept the website offline for approximately 24 hours.

There is no evidence of data loss. We shall report this incident to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a matter of good practice.

Please note that we are scheduled to begin planned migration of membership data to SiEntries in March 2023.

In the meantime, for added security, we recommend all members login to their profile and update their password at the earliest opportunity.
