The guide gives detailed instructions of the route and includes simple sketch maps to give an overview. The Cotswold Ring is a circular route of 55 miles beginning at Cheltenham. The guide suggests a recommended itinerary taking 6 days as follows:
Cheltenham to Winchcombe - 8.5 miles
Winchcombe to Broadway - 10.5 miles
Broadway to Chipping Campden - 4.5 miles
Chipping Campden to Moreton-in-Marsh - 8 miles
Moreton-in-Marsh to Bourton-on-the-Water - 12 miles
Bourton-on-the-Water to Cheltenham - 13.25 miles
The above itinerary, by linking the main towns along the route ensures a good choice of overnight accommodation. Of course, longer or shorter options can be devised, or the route tackled as day walks taken at different times.
