Circular yellow ring with stylised sheep head and path nameW.A.S. Way - Walk Around Stroud

Gloucestershire

16 km / 10 miles
The Stroud WAS Way was created by Debbie Hewitt and first walked in the 2007 Stroud Walking Festival. It follows the town parish border, crossing all five of the Valleys: Frome (or Golden or Chalford), Nailsworth, Ruscombe, Painswick and Slad.
The hills to the north can be steep and muddy; the canal towpath to the south is flat and generally good underfoot and is the only part of the walk suitable for wheelchairs.
The WAS Way route has been designed so that it can be walked in either direction, and starting from any of its 16 marked points.
