Lagan & Lough Way

Antrim

34 km / 21 miles
The Lagan & Lough Way is a 21 mile mostly traffic-free walk on a shared-use path. It connects Lisburn, Belfast and Jordanstown. The route starts at Union Locks south of Lisburn, passes through Lagan Valley Regional Park with sights including the National Trust property at Minnowburn and the historic Giant's Ring archaeological site. Pieces of public art alongside the path add further interest. Belfast's vibrant waterfront at Laganside and the Docklands area lead to Belfast Lough and the route ends at Loughshore Park in Jordanstown.

MARCH 2023: Lagan & Lough Way closed in Belfast
An approximately 900m stretch of this LDP has been closed between River Terrace and Albert Bridge, Belfast, due to flood defence work along the west side of the River Lagan. A diversion between Ormeau Bridge (A24) and Albert Bridge (A20) is in place on the other side of the river; the cycle route makes use of Ormeau Embankment and Ravenhill Road. The full cyclists' and walkers' riverside route is expected to be closed until August 2023.
