Grasmere Ale Trail

Cumbria

26 km / 16 miles
This is one of a series of six 'Ale Trails' from the Jennings Brewery. The route of 16 miles starts and finishes at the Wordsworth Hotel in Grasmere. Passing Wordsworth's Dove Cottage the route initially crosses the southern flanks of Nab Scar and through Rydal Park to Ambleside. It then traverses Loughrigg Fell to Elterwater and takes a high level route overlooking Great Langdale, with superb views in every direction. After reaching Blea Rigg the route drops into Easedale and follows the valley back to Grasmere.
