Plenty of entertainment along the way - route leaves Chester by the Shropshire Union Canal, before striking out across farmland, crossing an ancient packhorse bridge, then passing through dairy farmland; the original source of the famous Cheshire Cheese. Past Kelsall, the route enters Delamere Forest on the Mid-Cheshire Ridge, with a wide range of wildlife habitats, including the Hatchmere beaver reserve, managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust, before returning to Delamere railway station
