The walk starts at Drynachan Lodge, a remote hunting lodge on the Cawdor Estate. We will explore rarely visited areas of the Upper Findhorn valley, climbing up to moorland then down to the River heading south, enjoying extensive views. We cross two bridges and will see, but not be able to use, an unusual bucket crossing. Paths are generally good.

General Notes
Because of large numbers of game birds in the area, dogs are not permitted. The limited parking means that car sharing is essential. We will leave cars at Forres and/or Nairn and car share to the start. To book, please email with your mobile number, and emergency contact details. If you don't wish to provide emergency contact details you can carry emergency contact details and tell us in advance where these can be found (such as on your phone or in a specified rucksack pocket)
