Meet at Didcot Parkway station (8.20 GWR Paddington or Elizabeth line to Reading and join the train at 8.47) Return ticket to Didcot and single from Oxford is one option

Flat walk along the Thames path with break at Abingdon for lunch and exploration of this quintessential English town. Bail out option at Abingdon, buses to Didcot or Oxford. Aim to Finish at 4.45

Bring adequate supplies. Moderate pace. Please let Leader know, ideally via WhatsApp or text, if you wish to come; ideally the day before so he can update you if there are any necessary changes to travel details or the route. There have been many walks along the Thames in London and in the Chilterns. This is the first in a series of walks exploring the less well-known sections of our river
