The usual Christmas outing, albeit a different route each year, with the 2026 edition heading straight to The Loaf bakery/café in Crich for some early refreshment, after which Crich Stand is mounted, and following a wooded descent the quiet, broken road to Holloway is taken, before reaching Lea for a lunch stop at the Jug & Glass, from where the Cromford Canal is eventually gained for the final miles back to Ambergate
