Please join West Yorkshire LDWA for this new Yorkshire Dales based challenge event,

Starting from the picturesque Cracoe Village Hall, Skipton, BD23 6LQ.

. The challenge has a bit of everything, open moors, quiet footpaths and fantastic views (weather permitting). The event is open to walkers and runners.                                          

A route description and GPX file will be available nearer the event date.

All food and drink provided by the West Yorkshire LDWA organisers is included in the entry fees. There will be five well stocked checkpoints on the 25-mile route, and two on the 12-mile route.

At the finish, hot food, refreshments and a warm welcome back is guaranteed.

Start time for Walkers 8.30am and Runners 9.00am.

Please note no dogs allowed, sorry.

The walk is to be completed in 10 hours.

                                                                                   There is a cut-off time at 2.30pm at checkpoint 3 at 12-miles, on the 25-mile route, anyone not through this checkpoint by 2.30pm will be asked to retire.

Choice of courses 25miles or 12 miles.

Entries Fees

LDWA Members-25 miles £15.00, 12 miles £12.00

Non-Members- 25 miles £20, 12 miles £15.00

Entries will be restricted to the first 125 and will be closed when this maximum is reached.

If maximum is not reached and you wish to enter on the day, the cost for the 25-mile walk will be £20 for a LDWA member and £25 for a non-LDWA member.

For the 12 mile walk it will be £17 for a LDWA member and £20 for a non-LDWA member.

With limited car parking at the village hall, please consider car sharing.

Further car parking is also available on the left-hand side of the Hetton Road and in the large layby on the B6265.

Marshals will be on hand to assist and direct. Your co-operation is appreciated in order to avoid any inconvenience to the residents of Cracoe on the day.
