Dear All
Well autumn certainly seemed to announce its arrival with a spectacular fanfare last Thursday night but let's hope we haven't quite seen the last of the Indian Summer yet. And although the autumnal equinox marks the official start of the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness on Wednesday, we've got a couple of great walks this week which will put a spring in your step no matter what the weather!
Autumn's spectactuar arrival last week! (Sadly - I didn't take the photo - it came from the Telegraph)
So coming up first, on Wednesday, Christopher will taking a vibrant(!) urban stroll through early-evening London, taking in markets, bridges and cathedrals. If you'd like to join this fascinating outing, with lots of contemporary and historic interest, make your way to the Market Porter pub, Stoney St, Borough Market for 6pm on Wednesday evening.
Then, taking us out from urban London and into the surrounding countryside, on Saturday, Jerome will be exploring the remote Northern Territories of Hampshire, around Alton. To join this enticing excursion, please just be at Alton station at 9.12am on Saturday.
As ever, the details of both of this week's walks can be found on the website and are reproduced below.
So that's it from me this week - so have a great week!
All the best
Adam
