Meet at Wraysbury station (suggest the 8.33 train from Waterloo, car drivers could park at Woking and take the 8.03 train which will connect with the above)

Terrain undulating. A watery start passing lakes which are filled in gravel pits, briefly along the Thames, through Windsor Great Park, (possible stop café/loos) Chobham common mainly on well maintained tracks.
Finish at Woking station for frequent trains to London and Guildford

General Notes
Commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the walk led by Keith Chesterton (member number 81 and one of the first chairs of the LDWA) from the north to south of Surrey. Keith originally bypassed central Woking, going through Brookwood in one day, but this time the walk is spread over two days and centred on Woking for travel convenience. This is a joint walk for London and Surrey groups Bring sufficient food and liquid refreshments. Picnic stops. Moderate pace (Average 2.7mph) Woodland facilities. LDWA membership card has a space on it for adding emergency contact details, all members are encouraged to carry this during the walk. It would be helpful to contact the walk leader to confirm if you wish to come on this walk (LDWA membership number required please)
