White Cliffs Challenge 27 August 2023
Pavan & Rod, both former Committee Members of LDWA London, completed the White Cliffs 30-mile Challenge on Sunday 27 August 2023 in less than 10 hours each. Charlotte completed in 6 hours 38 minutes. After walking with Charlotte in the Lake District I was not surprised to learn that she ran 35km the day before from Ramsgate to St Margaret's (including Pegwell Bay Parkrun where she gained a PB).
A big thank you to the organisers Kent LDWA for their marshalling and support at the checkpoints where the food was amazing with the additional of lots of fresh fruit.

Property of the Week
Rod spotted this small unassuming property during the challenge event, and had the time to take a photo! The Waldershare estate was purchased by Sir Henry Furness in 1705. The red-brick house, whose design has been attributed to William Talman (Harris 1719) had been built by 1712 and the surrounding formal grounds laid out as shown in a view by J Kip
