Ann Sayer, MBE, 1936-2020, Long Distance walker supremo, asked to name a favourite walk replied "My Training Walk!" This is it. A 6.5 mile circular walk, it begins at the impressive Teddington Lock and proceeds alongside the River Thames to Richmond Bridge, which is crossed, and then returns to the Lock via Twickenham and then mainly via residential roads. One can understand why Ann so liked this route. In a relatively small area there is so much to see and admire, the river itself is often lively and always attractive and depending on the time of day and the weather it can be so different. On return to the Lock we intend to walk along the river to Kingston where the walk will end and a Wetherspoon pub awaits. Finish at Kingston Railway Station
