Route outline

Here is the current anticipated route, as of May 2026. Starting and finishing in Axminster, the route runs clockwise, initially into West Dorset, turning south to reach the coast at Lyme Regis. The long westwards coastal section should be (mostly) in daylight hours for most walkers. Baggage will be available at Exmouth, then the route follows the cycle path up the Exe Estuary, then inland to reach breakfast at Woodbury. After this the route travels east, mainly following the East Devon Way towards Uplyme, then a final northerly section back to Axminster.

Final gpx and route descriptions will be published here.

The route takes in the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and travels through two National Landscapes (formerly known as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty). If you would like to know more about the features along the route, please take a look at the Event Info pages, where you can read about the history, natural history and geology of the area and things to keep an eye out for.
