General Notes
Joint walk with London LDWA. Moderate pace. Picnic stops only. Bring sufficient food & drink as there are no facilities on the route. If intending to come it would be helpful to notify the walk leader in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine. In the event of unpleasant weather on Saturday the Alton walk will be amended and possibly shortened. Drying out, refreshments and toilets will be available at a late morning “brunch” stop at the café in Garthowen Garden Centre, Four Marks. Similar facilities for a late lunch/early afternoon stop at the Greyfriar pub in Chawton. There is a reasonable bus service connecting Four Marks, Chawton and Alton railway station
