On B2141, up the hill from South Harting, towards Chilgrove, having turned left to fork away from the Uppark sign. 15 minutes from Petersfield station by car - we can arrange a lift from there if you let us know in advance. The 7:30 from Waterloo arrives there at 8:32

A steep start from Harting Down, up Beacon Hill, then along the South Downs Way to catch the second of the six trig points. Down to the yew tree woods of Kingley Vale for another, & then round westward via three more trigs (fields & woods) to come back to the SDW & Harting Down again

General Notes
Nearly 23 miles & hilly with almost 3,000 ft ascent, moderate to brisk pace, so tougher than most of our social walks. Flinty underfoot in places, so good footwear is advisable.  No useful shops or pubs en route, so we'll need to carry our own refreshments
