Route

Please join West Yorkshire LDWA for this new Yorkshire Dales based challenge event, starting from the picturesque Cracoe Village Hall, Skipton, BD23 6LQ. The challenge has a bit of everything, open moors, quiet footpaths and fantastic views (weather permitting). The event is open to walkers and runners

With a choice of two distancers 25 miles & 12 miles, both routes start and finish in Cracoe Village Hall. Both route head out towards Boss Moor, Linton and back to Cracoe, the 25 mile route heads up onto Cracoe and Rylstone Fell calling in Thorpe and back to Cracoe

General Notes

All food and drink provided by the West Yorkshire LDWA organisers is included in the entry fees. There will be five well stocked checkpoints on the 25-mile route, and two on the 12-mile route. At the finish, hot food, refreshments and a warm welcome back is guaranteed .There is a cut-off time at 2.30pm at Checkpoint 3 (12 miles). Anyone not through this Checkpoint will be asked to retire

25 mile £15.00 £20.00 12 mile £12.00 £15.00 entries will be restricted to the first 125 and will be closed when this maximum is reached. If maximum is not reached and you wish to enter on the day, the cost for the 25-mile walk will be £20 for a LDWA member and £25 for a non-LDWA member. For the 12 mile walk it will be £17 for a LDWA member and £20 for a non-LDWA member.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
