Taking the Kirklees and Colne Valley routes over Slawit Moor, Deanhead, Goat Hill, Merrydale, Deer Hill, Shoots Nab to Butterley

General Notes

Some tricky terrain due to little use of footpaths. Dogs very welcome, lots of water spots

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
