AGM WEEKEND and NEC ELECTIONS 2024

Annual General Meeting

THIS is advanced notice that the LDWA Annual General Meeting will take place at 10am on Sunday 17th March 2024 at the Mercure HOTEL norwich

To maintain some continuity on the National Executive Committee, each post normally comes up for election every four years, so there is a gradual turnover each year.

Following the completion of current officers' terms, elections for the following posts will take place at the AGM:

  • Treasurer

  • Local Groups Officer

  • Environment Officer

  • Volunteer Coordinator.

If you might be interested in any of these posts, to find out more please contact the current post-holder or any committee member or look at the job description in the Toolkit on the website at https://ldwa.org.uk/library/toolkit.php#NEC

These jobs involve a variety of work, but it is often interesting and rewarding, and is an opportunity for members to put something back into our Association. Again, if you know someone in your group who would make a good LDWA officer, then please encourage them to find out more.

If you wish to be nominated for one of the posts, please contact the General Secretary, Bill Milbourne  who will send you a nomination form which must be returned to him by 6th January 2024

Any motions (ordinary or special resolutions) for the Annual General Meeting must be submitted to The General Secretary by 6th January 2024.

For clarification, Pearl Barnes has been acting as Local Groups Officer and Andrew Cooney has been acting as Environment Officer, Both will be eligible for nomination for these posts and have indicated that they intend to seek election for the full term
