I'm actually a Brit, but currently living in Canada. The type of cell phone plan that I have in Canada lets me go anywhere do anything while some inside Canada but would become costly to maintain the same cell phone plan if I was spending an extended period of time in the United Kingdom.

I have a dream of walking LEJOG, and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest suitable phone plans and providers.

Key criteria would be as follows:

I need maximum coverage in the UK, avoiding dead spots, preferably not having to even think about dead spots, must allow short-term contract such as 4 months, allow for data text and calls across the UK, maybe including an allowance for international calls and texts, but having sufficient data allowance might mean that I don't need to worry about the international allowance.

Does anyone have any ideas?
