Well I see this topic has had quite a few views but no replies so I will persevere!
I have managed to get hold of a copy of the Cicerone guide written by John Cantrell and Arthur Rylance and I am mightily impressed. The research that has gone into it and the detail given is tremendous. I am now even more inspired than ever so we are planning for July 2026 hoping for better weather than we had on the Snowdonia Slate Trail this September.

I like the look of the Sarn Helen LDP but the Cicerone guidebook is unavailable. Has anyone got a copy they would like to sell/hire out?
If anyone has walked it would they be willing to offer some advice?
I have downloaded the GPX file and it seems to show a "there and back route" does anybody know if that was created as a cycle or walking route?
