27th Derby (Chaddesden) Scout Group HQ, Meadow Lane, Chaddesden, Derby, DE21 6PW

From the 27th HQ the route circles Derby and includes strenuous hilly sections, field paths, parkland, canal tow path and includes 5 checkpoints. Route can be found at www.plotaroute.com and type in 'Wilmot Wander 2026 -revised route'

General Notes

An open event for walkers and runners. The event is team of 3-6 members aged 14+ or individuals 18+. Entries open from October 2026, there is a limit of 200 competitors and closing date for entry is 22nd January or earlier if limit reached. This event is organised by an organisation outside the LDWA and is included in our listings because it may be of interest to LDWA members and other long-distance walkers. Responsibility for organising, managing and insuring the event rests with the event organiser
