From Blanchland we follow Pennine Journey to Slaley Forest, then south along Carriers Way. The path then descends, crossing Devil's Water before ascending NW to King's Law. then following Broad Way goes around Lilswood Moor. At Hangman's Hill the track descends to Harwood Shield and then heads south to Riddlehamshope, where a path along the north bank of Beldon Burn leads us back to Blanchland.
