Meet at the free car park in Robert Way, Newton Poppleford (07.40).SY086897 We walk to the war memorial bus stop to take the scheduled 157 bus at (£3.00 if you pay) arriving at 07.49. We get off the bus at the Millroy Cottage stop at 08.13 and take the short walk to the river Otter to join the J100 route; SY075830. An alternative start would be 08.20 from this point - but the walk finishes in Newton Poppleford

The route is a linear one starting from near Budleigh Salterton. The first section to East Budleigh will be along the river Otter. We continue now on the J100 route along footpaths to Knowle before heading toward Exmouth along the disused railway and shared cycle track. Then up to the Geoneedle and on to the marina along the cycleway to Lympstone and Exton before footpaths to Woodbury. Over Woodbury Common and Harpford Common back to Newton Poppleford

General Notes
This will be the 4th in the series of J100 Familiarisation Walks. Intended to give members volunteering and/or walking in next year's Jurassic Hundred the opportunity get to know the route and provide feedback on its suitability. Please book a place with Emma, using the email below. Please bring a packed luch and drinks, as well as waterproofs. If starting from the River Otter please tell the walk leader. Dogs are welcome if on a lead throughout the walk
