Set off from Barrowford, including four new faces, to head off towards Sabden via Roughlee and Barley. Rounded Churn Clough Reservoir then headed up over Deerstones to arrive at Pendle Hill summit. Had lunch in the rain then down into Downham. At Twiston one of the new walkers had problems with blisters so the group split into two groups. One headed straight back to Barrowford while the other carried on to Clough Head then over Twiston Moor, through Blacko and back to Barrowford. Thanks to Sue and Judy for leading the second group back. Photos by Tom Wood.
Enjoyed the beauty of the bluebells in Oxenber Wood and Crummockdale.

If memory serves there were twenty five turned up of which nine dropped out! We missed out Pen y Ghent as it resembled a giant iceberg. The snow was three foot deep and drifts up to six feet deep. Whernside was OK going up but most of us slid down on our bums !!! Ingleborough was just awesome and a white out encountered coming off (scary). Roll on next attempt. Photos by ?
