Greenwich Evening Walk - Cutty Sark DLR Circular

Route: Meet at Cutty Sark DLR station. A circular walk through Greenwich Park and Blackheath.
 
Notes: Nearby Wetherspoons for pre and/or after walk drinks.

“1st Green Bridge Walk” Cobham to Horsley

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England / Surrey
 
Distance: 15 miles
 
Start Time: 10:45
 
Route: Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon station (train departs Waterloo 10.03, Vauxhall 10.07, Clapham Junction 10.12). The UK’s 1st Green Bridge constructed over the A3 officially opened last month. The purpose of the bridge is to help insects and animals to connect Ockham and Wisley heathland commons. We will walk at a gentle pace with the fauna over this bridge and explore some other local areas of heathland. Finish 16.45 at Horsley station which is 2 stations down the line from Cobham. Buy a return to Horsley.
 
Notes: Bring picnic, plenty of water. Moderate pace. Please let Leader know, ideally via WhatsApp or text, if you wish to come; ideally the day before so he can update you if there are any necessary changes to travel details or the route.

Northern Adventure Part 4 Stevenage to Biggleswade

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England / Herts Beds
 
Distance: 18 miles
 
Start Time: 8:50
 
Route: Meet at Stevenage station main entrance on Lytton Way, East side of station. From London the suggested train is the 8.16 from St. Pancras, 8.23 Finsbury Park arriving Stevenage 8.45. Hertfordshire Way, Letchworth Garden City Hicca Way, Kingfisher way, Bedfordshire green wheel. Mostly good firm tracks. Finish at Biggleswade station which is 3 stations north of Stevenage on the same train line. Expect to finish c.16.30.
 
Notes: Picnic stops only. Moderate Pace. Dogs following the regulations are welcomed. If intending to come, please notify the walk leader in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine. This is a joint walk for London, BBN and Essex and Herts.

Cool Cats Walk part 1
 
Event Type: Group Walk.

Distance: 16 miles
 
Start Time: 7:30
 
Route: Putney Bridge station. Walk along the Thames to Ham House and then double back across Richmond Park to Barnes. You’re very welcome to bail out early or join us later in the walk. Aim to finish around 14.15. Breaks for breakfast and the lunch. Bring lots of water and food if you don’t want to buy it along the way.
 
Notes: Medium paced 3mph. Expect to finish about 14:15. Please let Leader know via WhatsApp or text, not email, if you wish to come ideally the day before so he can update you if there are any necessary changes to travel details or the route.
