AGM walk 8th March 2015

A.G.M. walk from Tetford Sunday 8th March

One doesn't expect large numbers of walkers to turn up to an AGM walk so it's pleasing to be able to report that we managed 13 walkers and a dog .

To make up the numbers , though , we did have to lure Alex and Jaffa his dog away from a Ramblers walk starting from the same place .

Starting from Tetford village hall we headed out on the old Roman road  to Belchford then picked up the Viking Way over to Fulletby where we had a mid morning stop at the edge of the village .

Continuing on  to Ashby Puerorum then  Winceby we  then skirted through Snipe Dales and on to the church at Hagworthingham for lunch stop.

The church was warm from an earlier service , there were hot drinks and cakes for all to enjoy so our meeting was held in a very comfortable atmosphere .

After the business had been concluded the walk resumed  but by this time the weather had taken a turn for the worse and we walked on to Harrington in the rain , skirting past Brinkhill then we puffed a bit going over a very slippery Warden Hill ,down to Hardens Lane then back on to the Roman Road back to Tetford

Thanks to Chris for leading a great walk , for arranging the use of Hagworthingham church for our meeting and for laying on some lovely cakes, teas and coffees .

Thanks also to Lorna for supplying the photographs .
