Jack's 19 miler Sunday 27th April 2014

17 walkers and 2 dogs assembled at Sandy Lane near Woodhall Spa to do Jack's 19 miler . The first part was on the old railway track which forms part of the Viking Way route , then over to Martin , Thornton ,Langton and towards Edlington .

We had our morning stop near Edlington then continued cross country just skirting Horsington , in to Bucknall past a care home (it was suggested one or two of us should call in and get a quote ,we must have looked as though we need some care ) then back on to the Viking Way to stop at Stixwould for lunch . Keeping to the Viking Way we continued in to Woodhall Spa where some of us had ice creams . The last leg took us across  the renowned Woodhall Spa Golf Club course where we had to make sure we didn't interrupt play , there being lots of keen golfers teeing off as we went past , and finally returning  to Sandy Lane to complete a very pleasant walk .

Thanks to Jack for organising and leading the walk and thanks yet again to Lorna for taking the photographs.
