A.G.M. walk 9th March 2014

It's not usual to have great turn-outs for AGM walks , people are often wary of being coerced into taking on some role on "the committee"  and , therefore , tend to give that one a miss . However , I'm pleased to report that we had 19 people turn up which is a very encouraging and some new faces ,  which is also encouraging .

So , we set off at a goodish pace and made Brinkhill church for our morning stop . The weather couldn't have been better , blue skies , bright sunshine and a gentle breeze blowing .

We then continued on through undulating countryside to return to our starting point , Hagworthingham , where we had lunch then held our AGM in the church . There was some useful discussion about group matters , election of committee members for the next year then on to resume the walk , this time heading through Snipe Dales and Hameringham , returning through Snipe Dales a second time and back to Hagworthingham , completing the figure of eight .

Our thanks go to Chris for leading a great walk , for arranging use of Hagworthingham church for our AGM and for laying on some lovely cakes and tea .

And thanks too to Lorna for taking the photographs
