- The train ride from Marks Tey to Sudbury, the Victorian station at Chappel and Wakes Colne, the floral display at Bures station vividly explained thanks to Steve.
- Gainsborough house in Sudbury and sections of the Gainsborough Trail.
- The Valley Walk the old train line which connected the 3 towns of our walk, the station at Long Melford still intact.
- The glorious wool town churches at Long Melford and Lavenham, appreciated externally as weddings were happening internally
- The magnificent avenue to Kentwell Hall and the “Life in Tudor England” festival partially seen from the gates.
- An “Ad hoc” section on a raised track which ended in a scramble down and provided an opportunity for Tilly to demonstrate a variation of the Orwellian mantra “4 legs good, 2 legs --- needs a supporting hand”.
- The spectacular array of mediaeval houses in Lavenham leaning precariously at a variety of angles, all beautifully displayed in vivid colours.
- The 2 mile walk down the High Street which demonstrated why Melford is Long.
