16 people braved 16.5 miles in the heat on Saturday,  visiting Redbournbury water mill, the Roman mosaic in Verulamium, St Albans Cathedral and admiring  the big houses of Gorehambury and Childwickbury. Baked goods and bags of flour were bought at the mill and ice creams and cold drinks were enjoyed too.

And  we were lucky enough to  see the female peregrine falcon at  St Albans Cathedral
