IT'S BACK ON THE LONG DISTANCE WALKING CALENDAR!! Cornwall and Devon LDWA Group invite you to participate in the fist Sidmouth Saunter for a decade! The event will take place on Sunday, 23rd April 2023. Walkers to start at 8 am; runners at 9 am. The start (and finish) will be as previously - the Sidmouth Guide Hut in Lawn Vista. . I/we are currently walking out two routes; an 18 miler and a 30 miler. Both routes will involve following the South West Coast path west towards Budleigh, then turning to follow the course of the River Otter to Colaton and Harpford. The route will take participants through an area of outstanding natural beauty mainly using the East Devon Way. We will make our way back to the coast at Branscombe or Weston Mouth. There is a sting in the tail....... the last six miles or so contains a considerable amount of ascent. Not so much Saunter as Slog.

Entry is via si entries and we are open for business there. Warm welcome and good food assured.
Further details to follow on Cornwall and Devon website.
Coast, river, Aylesbeare Common, Harpford Woods and back to the coast. What's not to like? See you there,

Ken Grose
