All entrants should be receiving in the next few days their copy of the Telford T50 50mile trail guide.
The guide was edited by Marches Group member Anne Suffolk.

The Marches group organised the first "All in one go" completion of the trail on launch day, June 2018.

Fellow member Jim Cox was part of the planning team who created the trail and was a tireless volunteer involved in devising, marking and maintaining the route. Jim sadly died in March this year. He is greatly missed.

We thought the booklet was a suitable gift from the Marches group to say "than you" to everyone supporting of Holdgate and Eaton Churches and of the Virtual Cakewalk.

The route descriptions of the 22, 14 and 10 mile routes are now available on the Marches group website and from me. For GPX files please email me.

There are still plenty of places available to walk one (or indeed all) of the routes during the Shropshire Way festival of walks 19th - 26th September.

6 walkers or runners can start from each start point each day- please book in advance.

Of course as this is a virtual event you also have the option of creating your own 22, 14 or 10 mile route- whatever you do please join the Marches group Strava club and share your routes and other walks with us. And join the Virtual Cakewalk face book page - link on event details in Sientries.

We already have entries for our cake competition so please check them out and contribute your own. Remember there are copies of the Cicerone Shropshire Way Guide to be won as prize for best cake, best photo, (3 categories: Close to the Ground; Far and Wide; My Favourite Checkpoint). and for best creative writing - no more then 300 words that best captures the spirit of the Shropshire Way.
