Meet at 9am in the village of Birstwith by the bridge over the River Nidd– on road parking along various stretches of the main road – Wreaks Road. Nearest Postcode HG3 2NP. Grid Reference SE 244 597. We will then take some of the cars to Ramsgill (30 minutes drive) & walk back to Birstwith. Recover the cars left in Ramsgill at the end of the day

We retrace our steps alongside the Gouthwaite Reservoir to the village of Wath & Heathfield. From there we visit Prosperous Mines & then back to Bewerley close to Pateley Bridge. Yorke’s Folly is visited on Heyshaw Moor & then we descend to Summerbridge back on the River Nidd. Most of the last part of the day is spent alongside the river

General Notes
Can you please make sure that you contact the leader beforehand if you want to attend this walk so that I can ensure that the logistics with the cars work. Can I also stress that you do not have to attend all three walks, you can come along to any of individual days. Shorter walk versions are available but you will need to contact the Leader beforehand to make arrangements
