A mostly gently undulating walk with 2 to 3 short steeper climbs (total ascent approx. 2,300ft) with a few stiles. This route starts & ends in the beautiful Westgate Gardens in Canterbury & takes us around the outer edge of Canterbury. The route stitches together & crosses several of the many established walking routes that run in & around the area including the Canterbury Middle & Outer Ring Walk, the Stour Valley Walk, Augustine Camino & the Elham Valley Way as well as other footpaths & bridleways. The route is a mixture of quiet country lanes, tracks, beautiful coppice woodland & open fields.

General Notes
This will be a medium/moderate paced walk & the walk leader has requested a group size of no more than 18 people so please do contact Poppy if you intend to join the walk. Lunch stop will be at the fabulous Barn at Woolton Farm where you can buy food/hot & cold drinks, or bring your own picnic lunch. Although it is not necessary to "book in" for walks, it would be helpful to let the leader know that you intend joining the walk (or can no longer make it if you have booked on), as not doing so may mean that the group leaves without you or is waiting for you to arrive. If you know your LDWA membership number, please also let the walk leader know
