Bleach Green c.p at Ennerdale Water in the Lake District National Park

From the shores of lovely Ennerdale Water we ascend two Wainwright Fells (Crag Fell & Grike), descending via Blakeley Raise to Nannycatch Bridge then meet the River Ehen south of Egremont at Kersey Bridge. Soon after we enter the coastal section at Nethertown rail station & follow the England Coast Path to St Bees for refreshments. We then continue on the England Coast Path/Wainwright Coast to Coast route to St Bees Head then head inland via Sandwith & disused railway/C2C cycle path past Cleator Moor & east to Ennerdale Bridge & follow the path back to our starting point

General Notes
4,600 ft (1400m) ascent. Should take 12 hours or so. Bleach Green c.p is currently (Late May 2024) free, check the Forestry England website for updates. A map and GPX file of the route are available on the following page:
