Buxton Community School, College Road, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9EA

A choice of 26.2 mile & 14.3 mile routes. The long route goes through the Western Peak District & includes Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor & Fernilee Dam, with a total ascent of 4000ft. The short route also goes through the Western Peak District, going to Axe Edge & the Goyt Valley & returning via Fernilee Dam to Buxton, with 2000ft of ascent

General Notes
We welcome & encourage under 18s on the event but they must be accompanied by an responsible adult. By submitting an entry for anyone under 18 you accept the responsibility for this. As parts of this walk are in areas of the Peak District National Park & over moorland, please ensure that you wear or carry adequate equipment for the terrain & weather. You should include suitable footwear, waterproofs, warm clothing, map, compass & whistle. No dogs allowed. Refreshments at checkpoints & at the finish a hot meal

LDWA Membes £16.00 Non Members £22.00 a mug with the Goyt Valley Challenge Logo will be available to buy for £3.00. A commemorative Buff will be available to purchase for £9.00. Certificates to all finishers if requested
