(Start 10.00. 10 miles, with a total of 1500ft of ascent Including Witherslack Yewbarrow and Whitbarrow
Start near the Derby Arms Pub Witherslack LA11 6RH, OS map reference SD 44149 82949, which is located four miles before Grange over Sands..
On the A590, drive past Whitbarrow, and as soon as you get to the next section of dual carriageway, take the right turn signposted to "Bowland Bridge miles 5, Witherslack 1 mile and Halecat 1mile".
Immediately after the Derby Arms turn left onto a very quiet road. After a few hundred yards park on the side of the road under the trees.)
