A well-trod route including sections of the Stour Valley Way and Wessex Ridgeway. To include Hod, Hambledon and Preston hills, Stubhampton Bottom (usually wet and muddy) with lunch around the pond at Dorset's highest village, Ashmore. The return trip via Iwerne Minster. Expect some steep climbs and some stoney rough paths.
On the day if the group would like to walk around the hill fort on Hambledon Hill to experience the spectacular views this can occur if agreed by all (adding a couple of miles to approx 20 and increasing the ascent to around 3000')
