Along the route of the abandoned Northern section of the Lancaster Canal from Tewitfield to Kendal.
Through Burton, Stainton Aqueduct (where the canal ceases to exist), Hincaster (bypassing the tunnel) and Sedgewick. The second half of the walk is cross country, following the line of the canal into Kendal town centre
