This is a really super walk one of my favourites, in which we will experience some of the main features of the beautiful & vast Holkham estate including the deer park, lake & huge monument to start, continuing on to the Norfolk coastal path passing through Wells-next-the-Sea & along heading East enjoying the varying coastal path.

We come inland at Warham & we will visit the site of an Iron Age fort which is also a haven for butterflies & nature, before continuing on through to the pretty village of Wighton. From Wighton we head back towards the Holkham Estate passing by the grand Obelisk with superb views of the house before getting back to the c.p

Dogs will have to be on a short lead for all of this walk. There are deer in Holkham park & dogs are not allowed to be loose in the grounds, there also may be sheep grazing in the site of the fort, there is also some road walking, & a couple of busy roads to cross so dogs cannot be off lead for this walk. There are toilets at Wells beach (5.5 miles), Wells harbour (6.5 miles), & also at Holkham hall just before we get back to the c.p. We will have a chance to have a drink & a wander or a short break around at the Iron Age Fort at around 10 miles, before stopping for a more substantial food break at Wighton Church approximately 12.5 miles. If required we can also have another break when we get back into the grounds of Holkham Hall
