Ledard Farm is a working hill farm and the centre for the Scottish Sheepdog School. It faces the Queen Elizabeth State Forest (25,000h), Ben Lomond and Loch Ard. Highland Adventure outdoor activity centre is also sited on the farm and offers clay pigeon shooting, fishing, sailing, canoeing, mountain bikes, quad biking and hill walking. Ledard Farm has beautiful views across Loch Ard. The main path to the twin summits of Ben Venue passes through the farm and there are numerous forest paths for walking and cycling all within easy reach.
Four Ledard Bothies each sleep 2 people and one sleeps 4. They are fully heated and also have fans. Guests can use their own sleeping bags or hire them for £5 (beds have quilt, sheet and pillow slip). The toilets and showers are in an adjacent building as are the self catering facilities. There is ample secure parking. Cars can be left safely when walking climbing or cycling in the area.
