Hi everyone,
Don't panic! I haven't forgotten you. This retirement lark is really quite full-on at the moment. Having been traumatised by Andy's recent walk out of Hungerford, I spent Saturday leading my Ramblers group around the Monopoly Board squares in London. At least there wasn't any mud. It looks like Andy's 50 went well over the weekend, despite the waterlogged conditions in places, with, as the leader put it, '14 idiots arriving outside his house for the start'. Hopefully I'll be out on Sunday, then I appear to be leading on the following Thursday. A special mention to Lucy for galvanising the walks programme, which finally looks healthy. I look forward to seeing many of you out in due course.
Volunteers (Always) Needed
LDWA groups around the country are gearing up to host a full programme of group and challenge events. The Wiltshire group is no different. Although preparation for our events is well under way, volunteers may still be required for the following:
To register an interest in helping out at one or more of the challenge events, or to offer a group social walk, please contact the relevant individual.
Forthcoming Walks
Finally, here's the usual look ahead to all the group walks and challenge events that are taking place this month within a 50-mile radius of Chippenham.
This e-mail has been sent to 550 Primary and Associate group members. If you wish to opt out of receiving e-mails from us, you will need to change your e-mail preferences by logging onto the LDWA website.
That's it for another newsletter. All our newsletters are available via the Wiltshire LDWA website. If you have anything to contribute to future editions, please can you get it to me by the 20th of each month. I look forward to seeing you out on our group walks this month.
Warmest regards
Clive
