Meet 08:30 at Rochester Station (multi-storey car park nearby or park on Esplanade, which is free) for 08:41 train change at Swanley (plenty of time to use their toilets) for 09:24 train to Borough Green and Wrotham arrives 09:40. Or arrive by train at Borough Green and Wrotham by other trains. Trains from Rochester to London or the coast for your return journey.
Walk to Wrotham, Trosley visitor centre (toilets), down to Coldrum (Neolithic Barrow) and up North Downs to Holly Hill (picnic lunch - no facilities). Join North Downs Way and through woods to Upper Bush and Ranscombe Reserve and on to M2 bridge (bring your own hearing protection). Along river Medway to Rochester for Castle, Cathedral, shops, pubs and station
