Park in Sports Centre Road car parks off Park Wood Road and meet beside Medical School building CT2 7RX. Visitors may park in marked bays within all P&D and Permit car parks for free on the weekend. Stagecoach Buses (Uni 1 & 2 and 401) stop at the university
A circular walk from the University of Kent, walking east through West Blean Wood (where we might spot a bison if we’re lucky), fields and country lanes to Boyden Gate for lunch stop at The Gate Inn, where they serve sandwiches and small plates. The landlord will also kindly permit us to eat our own sandwiches in the garden if we buy a drink. No other facilities in Boyden Gate. Returning via Chislet, East Blean Wood and West Blean Wood. Average walking pace 3mph. 850 ft of ascent
General Notes
Dogs are welcome on this walk. Dog owners must have valid pet owner's liability insurance and must confirm this on the Social Walk Register on the day. Dogs must be kept on a short lead near livestock and whenever the Walk Leader requests. Please let the Walk Leader know in advance if you are bringing a dog
