The route drops south from Long Melford Church to join and follow the Wool Towns Walk clockwise as it comes up from Sudbury.

Notes : Free parking . Take Church Walk (Black Lion Hotel on corner) towards church; the parking area is in front of the old hospital which has a distinctive white tower with red crosses on white shields.

From the car park we walk south through Long Melford to twig why it is not called Melford alone. We then join the WTW to pass through all three Belchamps, the elevenses stop will be at Belchamp Walter church. We continue and will stop at Clare Castle for lunch where there are facilities. The return will be via Cavendish and Glemsford back to Long Melford
