Trendlebere Down c.p about 2mls from Bovey Tracey - 4000ft ascent - strenuous -
At the roundabout junction with the B3387 just outside Bovey Tracey, take the B3387 towards Parke and Hay Tor. Just after Parke, the road splits, with the sign for Hay Tor turning to the left. Keep to the right. Past Yarner wood, steep uphill and the car park is on the RHS
This beautiful route takes in the best East Dartmoor has to offer, with cascading waterfalls, massive tors, woodland & open moorland. After an initial descent it climbs steadily above Lustleigh Cleave to Hunters Tor, dropping down to Water & climbing to Manaton Tor & Bowerman's Nose. Visiting Jay's Grave to climb once more to ancient Grimspound & Hamel Down before dropping down to Widecombe in the Moor. Visiting Chinkwell Tor & Bell Tor before returning to the c.p via Yarner Wood

This walk crosses open rivers & moorland. Please bring appropriate wet-weather clothing & footwear. Prior booking essential. Please contact Pearl with at least 24hrs notice if you wish to attend. Dogs welcome on lead
