We will stay within the forest boundary & use the fire road/access tracks separating the mostly Corsican pine plantation. The evergreen woodland is punctuated by pockets of deciduous beech & birch coppice which offers a nice contrast along this route.

General Notes
Message from the leader: You are very welcome to join this guided walk around the virtually dry & mud free Breckland soil of Thetford forest. We will look to have a drinks break at 6 miles & then take lunch at High Lodge which will be at the 12 mile point. There is a large café & seating as well as toilets. Options are to bring a packed lunch or purchase something there
