This is a repeat of the walk in January 2023 & of the weather affected walk in December 2024. The route is similar to previous with two options towards the end.

Moulton Road runs between two of the main training areas in Newmarket, Long Hill & Warren Hill. Both are used by many of the equine inhabitants of the town.

From the c.p we head towards Moulton before deviating off to Ashley & then Cheveley. We pick up Icknield Way & then Stour Valley Path towards Stetchworth. From there we walk along the Devils Dyke to the southern end of the Newmarket race courses before turning back towards Newmarket, and back to Warren Hill

General Notes
Paths along the route are varied & often undulating, but mainly good. However, there is some road walking at the start & at the end, albeit on pavements. There is one shop on route so bring enough food & drink to last the day. Dogs welcome; we pass many stables so dogs must be on a lead at all times
